The rumors are trueDr. Dre will release a new album in the near future. The rapper took to his Beats 1 radio show The Pharmacyto confirm reports of a Straight Outta Compton soundtrack produced by Dre as well as additional details regarding Dre’s first LP since 1999’s 2001. During Saturday’s “Countdown to Compton” episode, Dre revealed that Compton: A Soundtrack will arrive on August 7th exclusively on iTunes and Apple Music. Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, the Game and many more will feature on the 16-track LP, which can bepreordered here

going to the studio and being so inspired by the movie that I started recording an album,” Dre said on The Pharmacy. “I kept it under wraps, and now the album is finished. It’s bananas. It’s an ‘inspired by’ album. It’s inspired by Straight Outta Compton, we’re gonna call the album Compton: The Soundtrack. I’m really proud of this.” Dre also called the album his “grand finale.”

Dre also revealed why he never released his long-delayed Detox: “It just wasn’t good.” “This is something you’re not gonna hear many artists say. The reason Detox didn’t come out was because I didn’t like it. It wasn’t good,” Dre admitted. “I’m gonna keep it all the way one-thousand with you, seriously. I worked my ass off on it, I don’t think I did a good enough job, and I couldn’t do that to my fans and I couldn’t do that to myself, to be perfectly honest with you. I just wasn’t feeling it.”

On The Pharmacy, Dre was joined by Ice Cube and Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray to discuss the N.W.A biopic and its much-anticipated soundtrack.

During the episode, Cube and Dre reminisced about first meeting in high school in 1983 or 1984 (“You’re showing our age,” Dre quipped) and how they bonded over their “mutual love of hip-hop.” “It just grew from there into this crazy, life-changing relationship,” Dre said of his friendship with Ice Cube. The N.W.A pair also talked about growing up in Compton and the biopic itself.

Ice Cube appeared on Philadelphia’s Power 99 Wednesday morning and let slip the news about Dre’s Straight Outta Comptonsoundtrack. While Cube gave an August 1st release date for the album, multiple sources told Rolling Stone that the album will be released at a later date than Saturday, which is ultimately when Dre confirmed the record. “It’s mega. It’s Dr. Dre, it’s what everybody’s been waiting for,” Ice Cube told the Rise & Grind Morning Show. “It’s definitely a dope record, and he’s dropping it all on the same day.”

During a March 2015 radio interview, Dre first revealed that he was working on a soundtrack for Straight Outta Compton. “I’m working on something right now. I don’t want to put it out there just yet and say that I’m definitely gonna put it out. But I’m really feeling what I’m working on right now,” Dre said. “This would be a record that’s inspired by the movie.” Straight Outta Compton hits theaters August 14th.

Woman stabbed near Stamford Bridge

police-595571

MURDER squad detectives are questioning the suspected female killer of a woman stabbed in an upmarket London street near Stamford Bridge stadium.

The body of a 35-year-old woman was found in the early hours of this morning (August 2) at a flat in Stadium Road, Chelsea, near the Chelsea FC ground.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after police said the victim died from stab wounds in an attack at the ground floor flat.

Houses on the road sell for up to £2.3 million and the murder home is located just a stone’s throw from the Thames and a few streets away from the luxury Chelsea Harbour development where several British A-listers live.

The street leads directly on to the route of the Prudential RideLondon where 25,000 cyclists took part in the 100-mile race through the capital and Surrey.

Star riders, including Tour de France and Olympic champion Bradley Wiggins came within a few hundred yards of the crime scene today.

neighbours described hearing “shouting and arguing” at the flat, where a party had been ongoing throughout the weekend.

One resident, who declined to be named, said: “There were ambulances and police cars all over the road.

“A man and two women were stood out on the street talking to the police. They seemed to have all their attention on a woman in her 40s or 50s, then she was taken off in a police van.”

Another local added: “The guy seemed like he was in shock, he was asking ‘is she okay?'”

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said officers were called at about 1.20am on Sunday to reports of a woman suffering stab wounds but London Ambulance Service paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene 25 minutes later.

She added: “A 48-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a central London police station. Enquiries continue.”

Forensics teams in blue overalls, masks and gloves were seen coming and going from the three-storey building, which sits opposite a row of high-end family homes.

One four-bedroom family home was recently listed at £2.3 million and the average house price is £1.7 million.

Double sided Iweala

1

In a fresh interview with Premium Times, former President Obasanjo said the Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who worked in his administration as Minister of Finance and later resigned is different from the one who worked in the Jonathan-led administration. Really, Baba? Lol. Excerpt from the interview below

“Take Ngozi (Okonjo-Iweala), who worked for me. And who worked competently for me. Because I know Ngozi’s weaknesses, but I know her strong points. Her strong point is technical competence. But Ngozi needs to be led and to be supervised. Now will you comment on Ngozi who worked for me as the same Ngozi who worked for Jonathan? Will you? But it’s the same person”

PT: At what point do you think she derailed if I may use that word?
Obasanjo: No.
PT: Is it at the point that you changed her – because you removed her as finance minister. Was it at that point that she began to derail?
Obasanjo: She derailed because….when Jonathan even said he wanted her, I said ‘I hope you can manage her.’ And Ngozi herself sent me a text (and) I told her times have changed.
PT: But why did you change her? She was managing the economy very well for you. Why did you now remove her suddenly?
Obasanjo: I wrote it in that my book.

PT: It didn’t come out clearly enough?
Obasanjo: It must have come out. Maybe you haven’t read the book very well. I said I’ve touched reform. I’ve touched almost everywhere except Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So one day, I was in my office and the Head of Service, Yayale (Ahmed), came in. He said ‘look, you are looking not happy, what is the matter?’ I said I am worried about two ministries and the ministers who can do the work I wanted to be done there in these two ministries are already doing good work where they are. And he said ‘talk let me see.’ I said education and foreign affairs. And he said ‘who are the ministers that you think can do the job.’ I said Oby (Ezekwesili), Ngozi, and El-Rufai. He said ‘what is Oby doing for you now?’ I said Oby is doing Solid Minerals. He said ‘Sir, in all sincerity, I know you don’t like to rank ministries, but will you say Ministry of Solid Minerals is as important as Ministry of Education.’ I said yes I don’t rank ministries, they are all important. He said, ‘Can’t you take any of these three to do education and then get somebody else to do solid minerals?’ So I took Oby there. Now in the Ministry of Finance we had got debt relief, so I could afford to take Ngozi to Foreign Affairs. That’s all. And then she had Nenadi (Usman) who was the minister of state. She’s not a buffoon. And then, which is also part of her weakness, she came to me and said, look, since it’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she will like to take International Finance along with it. I said talk to your sister with whom you are working and I don’t see anything wrong with that provided you work out a relationship. But she didn’t accord Nenadi the recognition and the consideration that was necessary. I then said the ministry of International finance should go back to Finance and that happened. She said she couldn’t act. She put in a letter of resignation. And she had done that before, and before she could come and get people to come and beg, I announced acceptance (of her resignation).
PT: She once resigned before and she took it back?
Obasanjo: Yes.

PT: Which means you were always having disagreements…
Obasanjo: No no no. I know her character.
PT: So why did she resign the first time?
Obasanjo: She just felt if she cannot have her way, with me…. If I am the one in charge, then it has to be what I see as what is the best interest of the nation.
PT: So even when she resigned, if you didn’t announce the acceptance she would have come back. So all efforts to make her come back didn’t work?

Obasanjo: No no no. Because I had announced.

Cech on point

_84632624_petrcech

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have been quiet in the transfer market this summer, and Gunners goalkeeper Petr Cech was the only new signing to start the game.

Cech joined Arsenal for £10m from Mourinho’s side in June and although he only had two saves of note to make – from Oscar and Zouma – Wenger believes his presence was enough to cause hesitancy in the Chelsea players.

Eden Hazard, unusually quiet throughout, skewed a shot over when through on goal and Wenger added: “Cech did well and maybe he had an influence on the Chelsea players as well.

“They feel to score against him they have to score the perfect goal.”

Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker believes Cech has already developed into a key player.

“It’s a start and it keeps our confidence high,” he said.

“Petr Cech has so much experience and gives us a huge boost before the start of the season.”

Goalscorer Oxlade-Chamberlain added: “This squad’s been together for a good number of years now and with the signing of Petr we’ve been lifted.

“He’s such an amazing player and has already shown what a good signing he is.”

“It was a hard-fought match. It certainly meant a lot to the players, as to what it will mean over the season, time will tell, but Arsenal and Arsene Wenger have finally broken their Jose Mourinho hoodoo.
“There was very little between the two teams but in the end, Arsenal won it 1-0. That’s not a scoreline you would have thought of a while ago.”

Beating Chelsea was a big hurdle – Arsene Wenger

_84630194_ox2_640

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his players overcame a big psychological hurdle by beating Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield.

The Gunners had not beaten a Blues side managed by Jose Mourinho in 13 previous attempts.

But Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s goal secured a 1-0 win against the Premier League champions at Wembley.

“It was important for the team to get that hurdle out of the way,” said Wenger.

“For me? No, because it is Arsenal versus Chelsea, it is not the two managers. It is two teams who play against each other.”

The best team lost?

Chelsea dominated possession but did not create many clear-cut chances.

The Blues had more shots on goal than Arsenal but just two were on target – an Oscar free-kick and a Kurt Zouma header.

Mourinho felt his team played the better football.

“The best team lost. And the defensive team won,” he said.

“If you want to be pragmatic, like I normally am, I say in a simple way, they score, they didn’t concede. Well done. Congratulations.

“Other clubs, other managers you say are boring, that they park the bus, I don’t agree with that. I say they were very well organised and because of that I give total credit.”

Handshake snub?

The relationship between Wenger and Mourinho has often been spiky.

In February last year, Mourinho claimed Wenger was “a specialist in failure”, while the Arsenal boss has previously accused his Chelsea counterpart of being “disrespectful”.

After Arsenal’s win on Sunday, Mourinho shook hands with the Arsenal players after they had collected the shield but missed Wenger when the Frenchman walked behind him.

Wenger said: “I shook a few hands after the game, but there’s nothing special there. I believe in a job where you have to respect people and respect everybody.”

Here is how Mourinho explained what happened – or did not happen – to BBC Radio 5 live reporter Juliette Ferrington:

JF: “You shook the hands of all the Arsenal players after they were presented with the shield but you didn’t shake the hand of Arsene Wenger?”

JM: “It is not true, It is not true. You have to look at it and it’s not true.”

JF: “We saw you.”

JM: “No you didn’t. You saw me wait for them and shake the hands of everyone who left the stairs just in my direction, so you are not right.”

1 dead, 20 hurt after tent collapses at Chicago festival

IMG_20150803_101131

One person was killed and 20 injured on Sunday when a tent where people had sought shelter during a brief storm blew off its moorings and collapsed on some of the crowd at a festival in a Chicago suburb.

Mike Rivas, deputy police chief in the suburb of Wood Dale, said three people were seriously injured and 17 others had minor injuries and were either treated at the scene or transported to area hospitals.

The victim has been identified as Steven Nincic, 35, of Wood Dale, CBS News has learned.

The incident happened at about 2:40 p.m. when a sudden storm brought high winds, hail and rain to the annual Prairie Fest, Rivas said.

“People sought shelter under the tent and then it hit,” he said of the storm.

The tent was ripped from its moorings and fell on some people, said Craig Celia, a spokesman for Wood Dale, which is about 25 miles northwest of Chicago. The remainder of the festival’s final day was canceled, he said.

Photos of the scene showed police and fire officials holding up a sheet over a body. Chairs, tables and other debris were strewn on the grass near where the tent collapsed.

Tracy Anderson, whose husband is a member of a band that was scheduled to perform there Sunday, said her husband witnessed the huge tent blow up in the air and land.

“The tarp landed on several people, and rescuers started cutting holes to get them out,” Anderson told the Chicago Tribune.

The annual celebration known as the Prairie Fest is a four-day event with food, live music, a carnival and fireworks. Thousands of people attend and there were around 5,000 there on Saturday night, said a city council member for the area, Art Woods.

Rivas said that luckily the festival was not yet too crowded on Sunday afternoon because the band was doing a sound check and had not started.

Parts of the Chicago area were hit by a brief, intense summer storm that brought high winds and left tree branches strewn on major roads, traffic lights out and snarled traffic.

The storm also prompted organizers to briefly shut down the popular music festival Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park on Sunday afternoon, although the music had resumed by late afternoon.

Meek Mill Back on Drake

GettyImages-482090884.0

Over a week after Meek Mill first called out Drake for allegedly having a ghostwriter, the Philly rapper has responded with his own diss record, “Wanna Know.” The track follows two records from Drake — “Charged Up” and “Back to Back Freestyle” — that put Meek’s back against the wall. Everyone expected a response from Meek Mill earlier this week on Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex’s show that never transpired. Meek Mill and his team began dropping hints this afternoon that the track would finally be released tonight, and on Flex’s show no less. Now that Meek has responded, the biggest beef in hip-hop is in full swing.

Drake will surely respond with his own record in the next few days, but Meek is in the game now, and this battle is just getting started. Is “Wanna Know” good enough to dig Meek Mill out of the 2-0 hole he’s up against? Can Meek Mill really win a battle against Drake? And more importantly, what does Nicki Minaj think of all this?

How did I get here – Christiano Ronaldo

13029

Ronaldo has admitted that he always knew he was slightly different but it took him a few years before he dreamed of playing at the top.

Cristiano Ronaldo says he knew he was ‘different’ to the other kids when he started playing football – but never expected to be a professional.

Ronaldo started his youth career at just eight years old at CF Andorinha, but never at that age did Ronaldo think he would go onto achieve the greatness he has.

At 30-years-old, Ronaldo now has three Ballon d’Ors to his name, as well as league winners medals in England and Spain and two Champions League medals.

Many believe that Ronaldo is the best football player in the world – and potentially the greatest of all-time – after successful spells with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United and now Real Madrid.

Those heights all stemmed from one time when his father told him to join up with his local team.

“Everyone in my family loves football,” Ronaldo said in an exclusive interview for Herbalife.

“I remember one day playing in the street. My father said to me, ‘why don’t you come into the club when I work?’ I say yes, why not. And I started to play.

“I go to training every day and I liked being part of a team. I trained every day and my father was there to help me.”

But from the moment he joined in with the other kids, he knew that he was slightly different to the rest of them.

Despite that, he only had dreams of playing at a professional level with the biggest clubs in the world a few years later.

“In the beginning, I felt that I was different to the other kids.

“I did not think that one day I would be a professional, playing for Manchester United or Real Madrid or Sporting.

“I would just play to enjoy but I was never thinking I have talent and I’m going to be a professional. In the beginning, I did not feel that.

“But after three or four years, I started thinking ‘I want to play there’ and I started watching the games and then I started to dream about it.”

Ronaldo has previously revealed that he was branded “too skinny” when he was a youngster – and that helped motivate him to the top of the game.

Guilty or not guilty

The man accused of killing nine parishioners at a black church in South Carolina wants to plead guilty, but his lawyer advised him not to do so

The white man accused of killing nine parishioners at a black church in South Carolina last month wants to plead guilty to over 30 federal charges, but his lawyer said in court on Friday that he could not advise his client to do so until prosecutors say whether they will seek the death penalty.

During a brief arraignment in federal court, defense attorney David Bruck said he could not counsel his client, Dylann Roof, to enter a guilty plea without knowing the government’s intentions.

US magistrate judge Bristow Marchant then entered a not guilty plea for Roof, 21, who faces 33 federal charges including hate crimes, weapons charges and obstructing the practice of religion. Appearing in court in a gray striped prison jumpsuit, his hands in shackles, Roof answered yes several times in response to the judge’s questions but otherwise did not speak.

nt will be seeking the death penalty, we are not able to advise Mr Roof.”

The federal prosecution, particularly on hate crimes, has been expected since the 17 June shootings at Emanuel African Methodist Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Early on, officials with the US Department of Justice said they felt the case met the qualifications for a hate crime, and Roof was indicted by a federal grand jury about a month after the killings.

Roof appeared in photos waving Confederate flags and burning and desecrating US flags. Federal authorities have confirmed his use of a personal manuscript in which he decried integration and used racial slurs to refer to blacks.

Because South Carolina has no state hate-crimes law, federal charges were needed to adequately address a motive prosecutors believe was unquestionably rooted in racial hate, US attorney general Loretta Lynch said during a news conference announcing Roof’s federal indictment.

Eighteen of the 33 charges against Roof could potentially carry the death penalty, while conviction on each of the others could mean a life prison sentence. Each charge also carries the possibility of hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.

Also during Friday’s hearing, Marchant accepted Roof’s application as an indigent defendant meaning the state will pay for his attorneys.

Marchant also heard briefly from victims’ family members, who at Roof’s bond hearing in state court expressed statements of mercy and forgiveness despite his alleged crimes. On Friday, several relatives made similar comments in federal court.

“We don’t hold no ill will,” Leroy Singleton, brother of slain Myra Thompson, said tearfully. “We’re going to let the system work it out.”

Gracyn Doctor, daughter of another victim, DePayne Middleton Doctor, said she misses her mother greatly but wouldn’t let Roof get the better of her. “Even though he has taken the most precious thing in my life, he will not take my joy,” Doctor told the judge.

Witches must be involved

1

A 39-year-old father of 3, Ekpeyong Essien, who raped a 9 year old girl blamed his 2 sons, whom he alleged are witches, for pushing him to commit the crime.
Essien, who hails from Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State, had on July 12, raped 9 year old Bright Benjamin, at Hawkins Primary School in the Calabar South area of the state capital.

He said the girl had approached him for money to pay her fares home, but he simply instructed her to follow him to a nearby primary school where he defiled her with his fingers.

Essien said his life became useless after his two sons were bewitched by one of his neighbours.
Essien is currently in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Cross River State Police Command at Diamond Hill in Calabar and would soon be charged to court.
Narrating how he defiled the little girl, he said:

“It was the handiwork of witches. Someone bewitched my children and my children in turn used what they have been given to affect my life negatively. The person who bewitched my children lives in our compound. What my children are doing with the witchcraft is to ensure that I become useless in life.

“When I saw the girl, I called her and she followed me. I touched her a little before she followed me to Hawkins Primary School area in Calabar South. The place is close to the Hawkins cemetery and when I saw her, she was actually behind some group of persons that were going to the cemetery to bury someone.

“She wanted me to give her transport fare back to her home. That was how I lured her with a promise to give her money. I have grown up children older than her. I do not know how she got attracted to me at that moment because I believe I was under the spell of my children’s devilish practice.

“When I took her to one side of the school, I started romancing her. I did not force her to follow me, she did willingly. It was raining at that time. I had not seen her before. I only saw her on that day. I only fiddled with her private part, we had not really started making love before one security man in the school raised the alarm and I was caught.”

He said he was a footballer with a local team before his children made him become useless.
He said:

“I used to play football in one of the local clubs but my children stopped me through their devilish practice. I am not the only one that is accusing my children of practising witchcraft; other tenants in the compound also know,”.

Essien, who regretted his action, is pleading with the parents of the girl to forgive him.

“I wish I could see the girl’s father to beg him. I am willing to pay any amount that they have spent on her in the hospital. I am really regretting my action because I have never had a criminal record before,” he said.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Hogan Bassey, said the medical report after the incident showed that the girl had been defiled.
He said,

“Because the suspect tried to penetrate and could not succeed, he used his fingers to defile her and based on the medical report, the girl has been defiled. The report showed bruises all over her vagina.

“He actually heard the footsteps of someone coming and he ran away. The security man raised the alarm and he was caught. He is still under investigation and will soon be charged to court as soon as that is completed.”
